8/9/09 Photos of The Day

My daughter Autumn came by this morning so I finally got the photos I have been wanting to get for quite awhile...both grandbabies in one picture! I called Ashley & had her bring Sarah over.I set the studio up in the living room this morning by myself and it was my first time to set up a complete studio. The photos I took of Autumn & Leah were taken first and the lighting was too bright so I had to work on the photos quite a bit. I was taking a friends advice and focusing less on the technical stuff and gettting back to what originally made me love photography. I love capturing moments! Sometimes your close friends have to help you to see things. When my husband finally woke up this morning he helped me with all the settings so when I took the photos of all 4 the lighting was muchhhh better.I will be so happy when I know this stuff and can do all the technical stuff on my own. Until then I am going back to enjoying photography again.I still have more photos to go through and work on but I figured i would post a few :)

Took some photos of Ashley & Sarah tonight and I was much more pleased with the lens I am used to using. I might be sticking with this one! These photos turned out muchhhhhhhh better!

These are some photos of my daughter Ashley, her husband Steven and my grandbaby Sarah. We played around in the studio last night. It was so hot and Sarah was tired. We will do this again later under better conditions :)

Took my son Anthony in the studio to get some recent photos of him. I had to show off the studio and where we were at with it. He isn't a very cooperative subject because he kept me laughing most of the time...lol

This is my step daughter Mara and she loves being a model for me. I was making her come up with most of the poses on her own. She did such a good job. I'm still attempting to learn to use the lighting. There is sooo much to doing studio photography. I never knew it was so complicated...lol

These pretty ladies were at the park attempting to take group photos with cell phones. I asked them if we could take their photos and email them to them. They thought it was a gimick at first but I assured them it was only so we could get practice. I am about to email them over but figured I would share.
