Just a few photos we took down at Memorial Park in the Riverside/Avondale area of Jacksonville, FL. We had sooo much fun just hanging out and messing with the camera settings. It was a beautiful day!

My Pookie had his own special birthday plans for me. One of our favorite restaurants is Buca De Beppo's. My Pookie made special reservations for us to sit at the kitchen table. This is a special booth that is actually in the kitchen where you get to be in the middle of all the action. What a special birthday :) They let you sample the foods and treat you like royalty. I had no idea that Brian had told them it was my birthday. I am the kind of person that doesn't like a bunch of attention on me in public. I was not happy at first but the way they did it made you feel so special. Everyone in the kitchen stopped to sing happy birthday to you. The cooks were clanging in the kitchen and the lights were flickering on and off and all the wait staff were singing. My Pookie did good :) I will never forget my 40th birthday!

5/15/09 Photos of The Day

My Husband and I drove around to find a park near where we have just moved. We found a park on the river names Blue Cypress and decided to photograph the sunset. There were too many clouds so we just enjoyed the evening on the water. I only brought my wide angle lens and to my luck we saw all kinds of birds and lots of dolphins. Next time I will be prepared!!

We are going to St Augustine, FL tomorrow with our photography group. We are visiting the Alligator Farm there. They have a bird rookery and this is the time of the year when all the birds are out and about. Here is the link if you want to know details....

3/8/09 Photos of The Day

My Husband was actually off all weekend so we did some adventuring. One of the places we ended up was on Little Talbot Island. We didn't get to stay long because the state park closed like 30 minutes after we got there. We did a quick run through and I think we are going back this morning.
