We went to visit the Cummer Art Museum & Gardens again today. I love going here! Its such a relaxing peaceful place. I got my new wide angle lens and i wanted to try it out. This place is located in the beautiful Riverside area of Jacksonville, FL.
5/27/09 Photos of the Day
This first photo is me with the kiddos leaning over the dock and attempting to get our reflection is the moving water...lol Just being silly :) The other photos are of some dragonfly's and a frog we found when we went on an adventure through a nature trail at a local park near our new place. We found lots of critters so I will be sharing them here and there. I just love finding new places to adventure! I'm sure we will be making lots of trips there.

The top photo is of my daughter Ashley & my grandbaby Sarah Bird. The bottom photo is of my son Anthony. I spent some time with them this evening and of course drove them crazy with photos :)
5/17/09 Photos of The Day
Today was like the most fun I have had in a while with my Husband. We headed to St Augustine to the Alligator Farm and adventured through their bird rookery. The birds freely come there to lay their eggs and raise their young in the trees over the alligator exhibit. The alligators below protect the birds from small predators. The only downfall I saw was when a baby bird fell from the nest the alligators eat them. There were thousands of birds there!! There were also photographers everywhere. It was such fun to see all the babies and the beautiful birds.
After we were done with the birds we ventured through the alligator farm. It was a zoo basically, there were lots of different animals. I have plenty of photos to drive you guys crazy with :)
When we left there we came across Ft Mose. We adventured around there and did some bird watching there too.
We decided to head to the World Golf Village and go to the IMAX theater to see Star Trek. I have to say that was a really great movie!!
While we waited to see the movie there was a fundraiser for the Save The Ta-Ta's foundation and they were having an antique motorcycle competition. We walked around for awhile looking at bikes and taking photos. I told my husband that he should feel like he is in heaven because he has his 3 favs in one place...photography, motorcylces & golf!! lol Not in any certain order.
It was just a day full of fun and adventure!

5/15/09 Photos of The Day
My Husband and I drove around to find a park near where we have just moved. We found a park on the river names Blue Cypress and decided to photograph the sunset. There were too many clouds so we just enjoyed the evening on the water. I only brought my wide angle lens and to my luck we saw all kinds of birds and lots of dolphins. Next time I will be prepared!!
We are going to St Augustine, FL tomorrow with our photography group. We are visiting the Alligator Farm there. They have a bird rookery and this is the time of the year when all the birds are out and about. Here is the link if you want to know details....

These are a few photos from our adventure around Ft Clinch on Amelia Island, FL. I love history and I am always on the search for historical places. The beautiful young lady in the photo above is my daughter Alyssa. She put on one of the hats in the kitchen :) She looked so natural lol.
